Valley Harmony Project

With Shervin Aazami, Valley Harmony Project is a new mutual aid network in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles to collect and distribute harm reduction supplies for our unhoused neighbors and other underserved community members, elevate public awareness around the harm reduction discipline, and ultimately normalize harm reduction as an integral component of our substance use prevention and treatment apparatus.

The project was launched in direct response to the alarming increase in rates of opioid overdose deaths among unhoused Angelenos and our broader community, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic In this initial phase, VHP is focused on securing funds to purchase the life-saving opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone, and fentanyl testing strips - two critical resources to reduce opioid-related overdose deaths and increase access to care for people who use drugs.
